Maybe Śnieżka is not an excessively high mountain, but running up and over it three times is enough to travel the distance equal to the height of Mont Blanc. The idea for the event 3 x Śnieżka = 1 x Mont Blanc arose out of these calculations.
Participants of the race have the option of choosing between three different routes. They may decide to go onto the top once (Mini run), twice (Average run) or three times (Ultra run). They have to cover the following distances 17, 33 and 57 km, respectively.

„…Śnieżka is a princess, so she has to be treated like royalty. When you climb up to the top you cannot raise your head too high, you should lower your gaze and look about one or two metres ahead, instead. You will be severely punished for an arrogant attitude – with a painful truth about a steep ascent. Some participants cannot withstand this view and they give up - they stop, sit, drop to their knees, turn back...'
