MUSEUM OF TOYS

There is a place in Karpacz, where adults may reminisce about their childhood and children may see the world of adults in magical miniature. The Museum of Toys was created in 1995 from the private collection of Henryk Tomaszewski, a well-known mime artist and a founder of Wrocław Pantomime. His passion to theatre was accompanied by collecting. He was buying toys in all places where he performed. 

The collection shows a 200-year legacy of toy industry, from 18th century crib figures through 19th century dolls to popular 20th -century toys. The exhibit includes dolls from Japan, Mexico or Australia. 
The fairytale scenography prepared by Mr. Kazimierz Wiśniak, painted shelves form the background for dolls and children can see how they learn at school, walk or eat dinner. Boys are fascinated by fire-fighting vehicles and LEGO blocks and  girls are enchanted by dollhouse miniatures and their furniture. 

You can also visit temporary displays which show collections of residents of Karpacz and the surrounding area.

The facility organizes workshops for children and families and thematic events.

Ticket prices: regular - PLN 18, discounted - PLN 10  (children under 7, teenagers attending school, students, pensioners)
