In 18th century the Upper Karpacz (Kapracz Górny), a settlement on the Bridge Mountain (Mostowa Góra), together with Borowice, the Wolf's Clearing (Wilcza Poręba) and Budniki was included in Budziska, that is the Mountain Commune (Górska Gmina), established on 15 November 1735.
The court tavern in the Upper Karpacz (Karpacz Górny) was the seat of local authorities, today the place is known as Morskie Oko Guest House. Courts and disputes between the residents of Budziska were held here.
Karpacz is the only town in Poland where three court taverns survived to our times. Today, the function as a hotel, a guest house and a restaurant.
