Henryk Tomaszewski was born on 20 November 1919 in Poznań. He managed to found a theatre which no one has created before or after. It was the Pantomime Theatre.
The artist moved to Karpacz in 1968 and settled in the house at Karkonoska Street where he devoted a lot of time to his passion, collecting, conducted with diligence and supported by profound research.
Henryk Tomaszewski donated his vast collection of toys to the Karpacz Commune which passed it on to the Muzeum of Toys in Karpacz established for that purpose. up till now the have been pleasing children' and adult's eyes.
The Artis died on 23 September 2001. He was buried at the cemetery near Wang Church. Every year, on the day of Master's birthday, on 20 November, at noon residents of Karpacz gather here to reminisce about this amazing man.
